Reading, writing and, er, recording

Hello again! There hasn’t been a huge amount to tell you about lately, but here are a couple of things. This afternoon Vinnie and Pete are travelling to Manchester to put in a few hours in the studio. The resultant recording, if all goes to plan, will become our first single in a few months’ time. Eeeeeeeee! We’ll tell you more when there’s more to tell…

We’ve also got us a gig in the picturesque rural commuter village of Reading, Berkshire. It’s on Saturday 9 October, it’s at the Rising Sun Arts Centre and it’s a fundraiser for Oxfam. Popshow!

And you never know, there might even be some new songs at some point. So we’re slowly getting back into it. Keep watching, lovely.

Hello world!

Now then!

The Sweet Nothings are a pop group from Sheffield, UK.

We are: Pete Green (singing and guitar), Vinnie Ransome (keyboard and more singing), Dan Hartley (bass), Rob Dean (drums, until he moves down south in September).

We’ll put more on this site very soon – so keep watching, or better still, subscribe to the RSS feed. Um… that Entries RSS thing down there on the right is probably the link you need. Right. So. Thanks for being here!
